Bombay Beach, Salton Sea
Quick note: I went in the middle of August and the temperature outside was in the 110ās. Sweat was pouring down my face after minimal movements, and breathing was a little tougher, felt like inhaling hot, shallow, air. The shore along the water was covered in fish bones, and the stagnant salt water had green algae covering the muddy water, which was also swarming with gnats. I attempted to get some videos and photos on the swing itself, but I took one step with my worn-out sneakers, and got stuck in the mud. I pulled my foot out, and the built-up gas in the mud released, smelling like literal shit. Iām for the tough shots, but no way was I stepping in that.
